Over years of rigorous exploration, Bornacelli has developed and refined several original techniques, sourcing rare materials from around the world and pushing them far beyond conventional use.

His process often combines pure powdered pigments, oils, charcoal, and dye inks with mineral and metal elements gold, silver, and copper. alongside spheres, crystals, and fine glass, building surfaces that shift with light and movement. He has also been deepening his practice with lime-based sheets and traditional fresco methods, an exacting discipline that can take years to truly master, bringing an architectural permanence and depth to the work.

His pieces are renowned for their commanding scale, many exceeding 12' x 10', their purposeful use of meaningful space, and their vivid, celebratory color, frequently influenced by music. The result is art that doesn’t simply ask to be viewed; it asks to be felt, evoking visual, auditory, and kinesthetic responses that make each Bornacelli a full-sensory experience.
